Welcome to the Telecommunication Networks Group's (TNG) Home Page.
The TNG is part of the Dipartimento di Elettronica e Telecomunicazioni (DET) of Politecnico di Torino.
The TNG is the largest networking group in Italy and one of the largest wordwide, with 10 Professors, and about 30 PostDocs/PhDs. The information available from these pages aims at providing an overview of the group's activity (i.e. published papers, ongoing research, theses, lectures offered in networking...).
The TNG covers a vast area of research topics related to advanced telecommunication network, including:
- Wireless networks (Ad hoc networks, Vehicular networks, Delay tolerant networks, Mesh networks, Sensor networks)
- Energy efficient network (Green Networks)
- Optical networks
- Peer-to-peer (P2P) streaming
- Switching architectures
- Traffic measurements and characterization
Current and past projects, a possibly incomplete list of conferences organized by the group and some useful links for visiting us are provided in case you are interested.
Foreign students interested in pursuing a PhD within the Telecommunication Networks Group are invited to refer to the official web page of the PhD school of the Politecnico di Torino. Please, look at Research Doctorate in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Admission information.
